Flame-retardant paste coatings

Ready-for-use compounds which are applied as a paste are used in various application areas.

A classical application is the flame-retarding coating of the back of furniture upholstery materials which must fulfil the British standard BS 5852/1 or the German standard DIN EN 1021/1+2. There are various ready-for-use products for this purpose, which can be coated as a paste using air knives.

APYROL RG-MR:

Flame retardant-containing commercial paste for coating high-quality woven furniture upholstery materials. APYROL RG-MR can be applied as a paste using an air knife or by slop padding. The coating gives a soft handle.

APYROL P-CA:
Universal flame retardant compound for coating furniture upholstery materials.

There are further possibilities for flame-retardant paste coatings in the case of light and sun protection textiles such as roller blinds or vertical blinds which must also fulfil flame-retardant standards for public buildings. Flame resistance to DIN 4102/B1 is required in Germany and to NF-P 92-503 (“M1”) in France.

The flame-retardant effect also plays a role in special applications such as awnings, roof sarking membranes or technical filters. CHT can also offer suitable products for these application areas.
