Besides classic parquet floorings, carpets, PVC and stoneware floors there are now also increasingly laminate and cork floorings. Completely different effects and properties can be produced through an intelligent modification of silicones which nourish and protect to a greater extent the floor.

Care agents containing wax and polymer:
Modified short chain silicone polyethers offer an efficient yet environmentally friendly alternative to fluorosurfactants often used in floor care products. The silicone polyethers have an excellent spreading and wetting effect on critical surfaces such as PVC, parquet, laminate and cork floorings as well as on stoneware tiles. The silicone products mentioned here stand out for the following properties:

• Very good flow
• Optimum wetting effect
• Fluor-free wetting agent

Floor cleaners
For reducing the soil adhesion specifically modified silicone polyethers with release effect can be applied in cleaner formulations. The cleaned surface is provided with a temporary protective layer which facilitates subsequent cleaning processes and possibly will reduce costs.

Protection against wetness and water repellent treatment of edges
The protection against wetness which was specifically developed for the care of floorings is based on an aqueous emulsion of a new functionalised siloxane. The product does not impair the surface smoothness thus ensuring maximum traction.

• Applicable in transparent formulations
• Can be combined with formulations containing polymer and wax

Cleaners for upholstery and carpets
Cleaners containing polymers often leave upholstery and carpets with an unagreeably hard handle. Suitable additives based on silicone help to give an agreeably soft handle on textile surfaces without impacting on the cleaning performance:

• Slight water repellent finish
