Erich Mechel was born in Schidijez 1950, in former Yugoslavia. He studied at the University in Karlsruhe from 1969 to 1974. He started his professional career at the company Standart Elektrik Lorenz AG/ ITT. Erich Mechel was appointed as Managing Director at CHT in Tuebingen in 2002.
